You might even lack the time to contact a wine and chocolate delivery store to order some elaborate ingredients. Worry not, because here is a list of last minute food and drink ideas for a house party that you can consider the next time you play hosts to a last minute house party.

Last Minute Easy Snack Ideas

Have less than an hour to get some cocktail snacks ready? Well, check these recipes that will not take more than 10 minutes of your time.

Salsa Topped Nacho Bites

For this, you need a store-bought salsa mix, a pack of nachos and some cheese slices. Be a bit creative and place the salsa mix on top of the nachos, then cut the cheese slices in bite size pieces and garnish the salsa with them. Not only is the snack hassle-free and tasty but good looking too.

Chocolate Cheese Sandwich

Want to include something sweet for the kids at the house party? Just spread grated compound chocolate on one slice of the bread and on the other, spread the cheese slice. Combine them and grill to perfection. The melted chocolate and cheese will leave everyone craving for more.

Cucumber Feta Rolls

A perfect cocktail snack, these rolls require you to slice the cucumbers lengthwise. Simultaneously, prepare the filling using feta and yoghurt and a seasoning of salt, pepper and lemon. Mix it properly and place one spoon of the mixture at one end of the cucumber strip and roll it up. Fix a toothpick and your feta rolls are ready to be served.

Wines and Cocktails to Get Ready at the Last Minute

While wine is the best last minute drink option out there, here are few more cocktails for those who would prefer alcohols other than wine.

Bloody Mary

This is one popular vodka based cocktail that can be prepared in less than 5 minutes. To serve one, take a large cocktail shaker filled with a handful of ice cubes. Now, pour all the stuffs into the shaker that should include 125 ml of tomato juice, 50 ml of vodka, 25 ml of sweet sherry, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, a few drops of hot sauce and a pinch of black pepper, salt, fennel seeds and celery salt each. The ingredients might seem to be a lot but all you need to do is shake them hard and strain the mixture into a tall glass and your cocktail is absolutely ready.

Nevada Cocktail

This one comes on top of the list of the last minute rum-based cocktails and you need just five ingredients to prepare this. These include a good quality rum, fresh grapefruit, lime juices, a little bit of sugar and a bottle of bitters. Most of these are either present in your kitchen or easily available. Mix all of them carefully and this tart yet sweet rum cocktail is all set to be served.

Wines and Cheese

Well, wine is the safest option because you need to do nothing with it before you serve. Just prepare some wine and cheese baskets and you are sorted because wine and cheese complement each other extremely well. When you go with wine as the drink option, you will not even have to think much about the accompanying foods and that’s definitely a bonus.

So, get set and enjoy the house party to the fullest.
